Location & Project Brief // The apartment is located at Madhav Oeuvre new Iskon Circle in the city of Ahmedabad - overlooking the everchanging cityscape, the balcony capturing the most dynamic corner of the home.

A small family of 4 includes 2 highly energetic children, who influence the decision making. They wished for a contemporary house reflecting their personalities and beliefs. The client requests towards a very modern clean looking design and personal space to grow. The clients have strong individual personas and hence the house has been planned to provide them with equal family and ‘me time’. The house should also be flexible enough to cater to the family in the future when the needs change. The challenge was set and we took it up Phase by Phase.

Concept & Design // The concept was an intersection of the idea of ‘Ratnatraya’ and it’s correlation with water. The forms and the overall look were inspired from these ideas.

The formal and informal spaces set different moods as per the occasion. The personalized experience is created through custom pieces designed to meet the specific needs of the client. A simple and elegant stitching style on upholstery was chosen to reflect the concept of flowing water. A fleeting thought linked to the project was realized in this center table. The form interpreted from flowing water introduced a break from orthogonal geometry in the space.

A separate play area for the kids lets them learn and grow by themselves, eventually making them independent thinkers. To ease WFH, (while the kids play) a study is tucked into a luxurious niche to create the privacy and separation one needs, to focus on work. Customized art installation in the ceiling brings a very dynamic element reflecting the kids nature.

The master bedroom came with a brief to segregate the sleepy zone with the active lounge area adjoining the bed area. The bed area was planned with after His bathroom where as the lounge with Her bathroom. A guest room is all ready to host the family that visits on festivals and otherwise too.
